I believe every woman deserves to feel supported, reassured, and deeply cared for as she steps into motherhood.
But I didn’t always understand just how important that support was.
When I became a mum for the first time, I loved my baby more than I ever thought possible. Yet behind the joy, I quietly felt overwhelmed, unsure, and deeply exhausted. I questioned every decision and often wondered if I was doing anything “right.”
Well-meaning visits from family and friends were filled with excitement about the baby - but what I longed for most was someone who could truly see and support me.
Someone who could sit beside me and gently remind me that I was doing enough… and that I was enough.
Becoming a mother is one of the most beautiful transitions in life - but it can also be one of the most vulnerable.
Everything changed during my second pregnancy when I experienced the support of a postpartum doula.
From the moment she walked through the door, something shifted.
I felt calmer. Lighter. Less alone.
She wasn’t there to judge, give advice, or “just hold the baby.” She was there for me - to listen, to encourage, and to create the space I needed to rest, recover, and grow in confidence as a mother.
That experience opened my eyes to the kind of care every mother deserves. It was my turning point.
I realised that motherhood was never meant to be navigated alone.
I realised how powerful it is when a woman feels emotionally supported and gently guided in those early weeks.
I realised that when a mother feels cared for, everything around her softens - her confidence grows, her nervous system settles, and she is able to connect more deeply with her baby.
And I realised that I wanted to be that source of calm, nurturing support for other women.
As a postpartum doula, my role is to gently support mothers during the tender fourth trimester — a time when rest, reassurance, and compassionate care can make all the difference.
I offer calm, nurturing support so women feel held, informed, and confident as they recover from birth, bond with their baby, and adjust to this new chapter of life.
My intention is simple: to ensure that mothers feel seen, supported, and never alone in this transition.
Because when a mother feels cared for, she is able to care for her baby with greater ease, confidence, and peace.
If you’re preparing to welcome your baby and would love a calm, nurturing presence beside you during those early weeks, I would be honoured to support you.
I currently offer in-home postpartum doula support to families in Secret Harbour and surrounding areas, including Perth’s southern suburbs.
Here are some of the values I believe in...
If you’re based in Perth’s southern suburbs and looking for gentle, in-home postpartum support, this is a beautiful place to start.
This is your chance to feel heard, supported, and reassured as you decide what support feels best for you. Because finding the right support starts with the right person.
